私は粽子です。: TRM camp 08

Day 1

Went for TRM camp from 6-8th October.. Reached school at 6.40 something on the 6th, was supposed to meet at 7.30am so went to canteen to have breakfast and read papers.. Then at around 7, went over to the atrium where many tr03 peeps were at, and apparently, they're celebrating Oliver's birthday, although he wasn't there yet. He was terribly late, he reached at near 7.30am although his classmates told him to reach at 6.50am..

Anyways, they sang happy birthday for him when he arrived and then they cut the cake etc.. I went over to my group there to assemble and choose a pole. Then waited for everybody to arrive. Our group, Bowser, as expected by Matt and me, had the lowest attendance of six. D:

Of the whole cohort of 100, only 69 turned up...

We had a long bus ride to our campsite at Changi, then went to the canteen and assembled. During the briefing by Qiuyan, there were quite a few pauses due to the loud noise of the airplanes.. But, oh well.. Then there was this ice cream stick choosing time where we had to choose a random ice cream stick but not our group's one.. We will be that person's angel till the night of the campfire..

We then put our stuff into the dorms and came down for some ice breaker games. One is called "I love my neighbour" an "improved" version of "blow wind blow". Then was the game "daytona", seems that the track ain't so even cox we had loads of "hump-ah" F1 would never approve of this "humpy and bumpy" track.. xD

Anyways, it was great fun and we played scissors paper stone with a twist, we must jump around in 4 directions before we scissors paper stone, then the loser will have to go behind the winner, and it goes on...

Had lunch [ if i rmb correctly] and it was actually quite good..

Then we had some station games. Spider web was quite nice, the "battleships"-like game was er.. fun? lol Then there was one where we had to squeeze in one small space, due to our group's small size, we managed to squeeze into a very very small space... Then there was the circuit thing where there is one leader and the rest of the group is blindfolded and everyone was leaded by the leader but with sounds [not words] or claps, etc.. Then there was also the one which is like a wargame but stopped because lightning is detected.. D: We in the end played in in between the perimeter of the dorms.. The game later progressed into one of war between people and not the target.. lol..

Had early dinner and then proceeded to the yellow beacon. Quite a distance away from the campsite. We then took some pics there [i regretted not bring camera along, but oh well, I had only one batt ma.. D:] And we were then dispatched for nightwalk pair by pair.. My group was the last and I was like sound asleep then.. lol.. Walked thru the not so dark nightwalk and Minyi laughed at Hanxiang for scaring her LOL.. Later we were gathered for the 2nd part of the nightwalk and we then knew that the rest of our group's peeps stoned when they scared them, like they were expressionless.. "oh, you scared me.. " and continue their nightwalk lol!

Finally reached the campsite and had supper and bathed. Then discussed our group's cheer, then went to sleep..

Day 2

Had breakfast, then prepared for high elements.. Learnt how to belay, then rock climb. Minyi the most pro in our group as she climbed the 3 storey wall BLINDFOLDED with instructions from some of us.. Zai man..

Abseiling was quite fun but like I have no idea how to "walk" down the wall so in the end I rammed against the wall... lol.. Then was zipline! Shiok man, although it is my 1st time doing so..

Then it rained.. D: Didn't get to try the other high elements AT ALL... D:

Lunch later and then wet activity. Learnt how to correctly use an oar, then how to lie backwards with the floating device on.. Was to dragon boat, but the other group capsized at shore after getting on. D: Then we all helped to bring it to shore and then went back to camp due to lightning.. D: We then built a raft but was super pissed at first due to facils changing our grp members and then changing our rafts that we built etc.. Wario's raft was one of the best tied ones due to Marcus knowing how to tie it tightly and correctly.. Then we were switched.. So had to make do.. The lesson for us form the facils was to tell us that we will never work with people we like/know and we may not get an idea that we like.. In the end it is the group's idea, not an individual's..

Went back to bring back the dragonboat and then bathed and had mystery dinner auction.. Clues were given and we had to bid for food using our points.. We merged with our ride's group which is Wario, and then bid and also sabo-ed other groups into bidding crap items for sky high prices.. xD Then came the 1st set of 6 items as they wanted to speed up the auction, and cox our ride had only chicken franks and 3 servings of fruits already [we did not hav chicken wings etc] so we pia. In the end, exchanged 2300 points for a set with chicken wings [large], satay [large], stingray [large], chicken franks [large] chicken balls [medium], Marshmallows.. So we were like damn happy cox it had almost everything..

Then was sabo-ing time, but one of the time also kena scammed.. D:

The campfire had us playing some games, cheering, and singing campfire songs.. I'm between 3 very pro people who know so many campfire songs that the overshadowed the facils.. D: They're Marcus, Minyi and Hasyima.. Sang the "I've got peace like the river" and the song which can be changed into chiobu/yandao faster come song LOL..

Then was revealing of the angels of everyone of the angel and mortal game.. My mortal is Xuanyi and I gave a note to her via wax and my angel is Seetoh, she gave me a note via someone [argh i forgot cox too gong] as it was given in the morning.. Her handwriting is very Loooonnnng.. xDDD Anyways, thanks angel! xD

Then was supper and rearrangement of canteen.. Then debrief and we did not have a specific lights out time! So some of them went to bbq some extra food and we stoned and talked and etc..

Then played hide and seek with some of the TR22 and 02 peeps.. Then I went to sleep at 3+am while they had catching lol...

Day 3

Woke up and had breakfast.. Then went to have area cleaning.. Our ride was to clean the back area of the canteen and the toilets there too... Cleaning was quite ok.. Then debrief and went to the respective locations to do our CIP..

In the bus.. Huge clouds.. xD Then we went to transport the other group and then went back to NP.. Had lunch there and debrief where we got some prizes and saw a video.. Then sang the song "we're all in this together" and then was giving gifts to our Facils time and then pictures time!
