Happened to me.

Recently, stuff happened to me.

Like, I got to work in RC Club! Was super nervous at first cox the service is tip top! Was fun to the max! Saw for my own eyes what is hospitality. VERY IMPRESSED. Much better than all the theory shit we learn in school. The only thing that's good about school is when you find out how it all APPLIES IN REAL LIFE. Other than that its really boring in real life.

Then another perk is all the cool people you meet up there, be it the colleagues or the guests, they're awesome! I attempted to talk to a couple as they're reading Singapore's map. Asked them where they'd like to go and talked to them for abit. Kinda nerve wreaking but definitely fun!

Then there was the Japanese girls I saw. Two of them actually. I find out that I can just tell if someone is a Japanese 90% of the time. I guessed, then listened for abit, then confirm with a polite, nihonjin desuka? [Are you a Japanese?] That will usually shock them and I explain that I know a little Japanese, very little actually. xD

It became very useful that time when we're on the bumboat during Ruiqin's birthday. We're sitting on the outside area then this old guy walked up and sat at one empty space, asked him that question after suspecting if he's Japanese and he said yes! Tried communication but then failed cox I don't really understand. He then asked his friend to help translate.

Turns out this friend of his is a Japanese based in Singapore. And this old guy I said was some parliamentary member of Tokyo. I was HUH?! Flabbergasted totally. He gave me his namecard hahahaha. I tried to use my hospitality thing and asked him how's his stay in Singapore etc. It was an awesome feeling to use what I had learnt in real life.

Seems that exams just don't cut it out anymore.

Under the Bright Sun, a swollen toe shines.

Working for days consecutively and not using the internet and not resting well enough takes its toll on your body.

I don't even remember clearly what event happened when until a prompt by somebody, then I will "ohhhhhh yalo yalo"

Well, there are still stuff that you wont forget and this one is particularly memorable in a bad way.

Was moving tables for break out rooms.

Moving the last table down from the trolley, it slipped abit [cox its round] and slammed down on the ground.

My left big toe was in between the table and the ground.

In an instant, my brain warranted the use of the expletive that starts with the letter F and i jumped to a chair nearby to nurse my wound.

It is very painful.

After that, started to limp but after awhile it became chronic pain and I had a little limp..

Then during the afternoon, I took out my sock and saw a swollen toe. Very swollen one. D:

I thought to myself, 'since the skin didn't break, the blood vessels inside must have. So I should see internal bleeding in awhile'

Awhile was when i reached home at night. D:

Took out my socks to see the part of the toe near the nail all black/purple/blue, the area filled with blood that came out, internally.

I can be a doctor.

Anyways, my father helped me rubbed the swollen area with some medicated oil..

The next few days was alright with minimal limping..

Just that, today, the chronic pain started to be a nuisance.

It got more intense, I had to limp. Damn.

I don't think its the distance I've walked. Which is from tanjong pagar area, into the shophouses, then to chinatown, then train to dhoby ghaut, walked around plaza sing, walked to the heeren, walked around it, walked to kinokuniya, walked to plaza sing, then back to a bus stop near orchard central.

It isn't alot actually, when you compare it to the distance we cover just walking up and down the hotel. LOL

But the main point is, its starting to be a pain in the toe.

Shall go to the hospital on monday if it doesn't get any better.

I suspect I have a broken bone inside all the while.

Hope this time my diagnosis doesn't get right.

Finally some slack.

Work work work and finally online.

Don't really recall what happened over the past week except for work.

Thursday's Crystal Ball was v fun. 2 beverage server to 1 table, + synchro-serve. Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Damon Hill and Jamie Yeo [w bf] was there. Cool ttm. Cox of road closure gotta take transport from Millenia Walk, talked alot w JD, Amber and Jess.

Friday was the start of F1, din book in time so was sian when seeing ppl wearing paddock uniform.. D: Had around 20 secondary 3 staff from various schools with some teachers attached to us for the M1 breakfast thingy.

Freaking overstaff.

Imagine this: you and someone having breakfast with close to 20 pairs of eyes staring at you eating. Don't you feel a teeny bit uncomfortable? D:

Luckily the people assigned to my group were good. :D

Helped out in the ballroom after that..

Saturday, already lost track of time, doing the same thing. Saw Alonso with his wife. Then normal stuffs except that today the attachment kids get to try out the other side of banquet [for the guys] which is carrying heavy stuff all over the place. First was 130+ 24x500ml per carton water bottles from 1st to 2nd level. Next was slim tables from 2nd to 1st level.

The girls however, helped to set up and was overstaffed over there. Imagine 8 people doing U-shaped skirting, with some other people sitting around with nothing to do.

Sunday, same thing, then was tear down and then moving the setting to 2 other rooms, with the original room changed into some other setup. Then was assigned to standby. I'd rather move about moving stuffs than standby, because after those days of walking, suddenly you stand still at one place, you will realise all the pain start to build up and cause fatigue... D:

Luckily it was over in a short while, and we turnover-ed that room as well. After that was moving more stuffs until we were released. Rotted at canteen while waiting for F1 to start. After watching a few laps on TV, went to change and went out to watch and hear the real thing up close.

It's damn loud. VERY. It hurt my ears so have to cover when I hear one [or more] coming. I wonder how those people with cameras tahan without earplugs just for the image.

Went around Marina Square, watched the live telecast on the big screen at the atrium of Marina Square, after awhile, went home.

Monday was OC, first other OC [the prev one was paddock last year] Since it was early, we went to some kopitiam at Dunlop St. opp Sim Lim Towers, to have breakfast packed from canteen and drinks were on the driver uncle. :D

The food was made to wake us up [it had chilli inside]. So I din finish and downed a few more samosas. Went Istana and was " Wow so this is the Istana. Nice"

Packed stuffs, set up stuffs, had tons of aircon from the cupboard sized air conditioner which blows air out from ground up. Heard one guest saying about " too much carbon emmissions"
Then don't wear your suit and tie and request to turn down the air con, for the Earth's sake! Damn these scientists.

Anyway the later part of the afternoon was spent talking and sleeping.. Then dinner and we're off to work. Cocktail was alright until the later part when it got really congested, that we risk hitting on anyone from any direction. D:

Before I could go in to rest my arms, was called again to the VIP holding area to serve them. Around 1 staff to 2 guests. All never touch the food [which Aislinn and me were holding] and drinks only a little. 2 Ministers came in as well.

After that they went in to talk talk, award award, then come out for buffet dinner. It was packed. Saw the president so up close for the 1st time. xD

After the whole thing ended, the tearing down took less than an hour.

Then was the truck which we were loading have some problem. So while waiting for them to come back, we had drinks. Cola is just shiok. :D

Cheers *ting*

Back to RC, unloaded some stuffs, went to get bags and went canteen makan, then changed, then mini-bused home.

Today spent 5 hours reading a week worth of Straits Times. Whew...

Destroy, Connect.

Wow quite some time since I blogged.

Well, thursday was spent working, 6am till 11pm, they had too much people at the ballroom so couldn't extend us [who were at chihuly/m floor] till midnight. D:
So spent the time watching ANTM at cornerstone while waiting for bus. xD

Friday was Priscilla's AKA Crazy no. 1's birthday, went clinic w her friend Daniel, and Ronald after waiting for idk how long for the princess. Only had beer there. lol

Saturday, went for event at Bugis Junction, dragged Zhihao, Huiyock, Weehao and Kianhong along but still tio pwn. So yep. Anyways was photographer, as usual. LOL

Sunday was work work again, wedding luncheon buffet.

Today was pei-ing Yuhui to study for the As which is like 50 days away, saw Adrian, Jeanne and Shiqi as well. Stupid macs no more plugs so I stoned and talked abit and read newspapers, and stared, and stoned. LOL

Shit I'm hooked to blogshops. D:

Work, Chalet, ED9 outing.

Work, i forgot most of what I wanted to say. But saturday was tiring to some extent, reached home at 2am, slept at 2.30, woke 2 hrs later and started work again at 6am on sunday. Pulled in an unknown number of chairs in for some church service. Then afternoon when they're gone, we went to pull out a bigger unknown number of chairs out and yea, v numb.

Worked till 10pm, chionged with my lactic acid-filled legs to downtown east chalet. It was for Jimmy's belated celebration, but Gary and I missed it cox of work. We went there and had our late dinner/supper. Then played the PS2, talked abit, then went to play drinking games. First time drinking Chivas sia... D:

It was very fun for some of the games! hahahaha
Slept around 4am, woke at 8am+ and went for breakfast at macs. Had hotcakes w sausage and added a round egg too. Shiok arh!

Went to white sands to walk around abit, played at the arcade. Jubeat is FUN! :D

Gary and Jimmy then went off first to Tampines to get something. I waited for Debbie till around 12, then we set off for Cityhall. Reached there and saw only Ronald and Reuben. LOL

Rotted at macs while waiting for the others.. Went to carrefour to get our food later, and then trained to marina bay and shuttle bused to marina barrage!

Ate alot, Played alot, Frisbee alot, and of course spammed alot of photos!!!

Went back at 8pm+, back to chalet and was rather cui. Played PS2 till i was half dozing off. D:
So slept at 1am, till 8am and packed stuffs.. Went out at 10am+

Cabbed with Seth and Jimmy, helped Jimmy bring stuffs back to his home and mrt-ed home.

Went Eunos after that with Gary for some stuffs. Din know Gordon was working at RC too! Cool man! hahaha

Ok thats about it.. xD

Today went to sch for BANG auditions... After that watch District 9 in the classroom. The 2nd time for me. 1st time was the night before. LOL

Its very thought provoking the movie. xD

Ok, before I forget...

I gotta blog before I forget stuffs...

Friday was 1st day back to work after N days. System changed I know, but I don't know by how much. Had to ask security guard how to get pass the new way. Go up and the uniform collection point was changed too. LOL

Changed, dumped my bag, went to cafeteria to rot.. Then ate.. Then rotted with a cup of water while everyone else around me ate.. Was there too early, but still good la. haha
Saw many long-time-no-see people.. Ok, Jiahui isn't really longtimenosee but yea. xD Then there's Melissa, Jess, Andy, Yuka, James and quite a few which I can't remember right now.. And alot of never seen before people..

Event was Gala dinner for National Cancer Centre.. I was like "woah 1st day come back get such a big event...." 80tables.. Western/Chinese style. And my assigned tables must cross over de.. Saw Mr. Flying Dutchman, who was host. Then Dr. William Tan.. And GOH was President. Quite cool man, he requested the guests not to stand when he enters. xD

Theres this auction item, where they're auctioning paintings for charity. To quote Flying Dutchman, "The other side of the ballroom can participate too!" *cue laughter* Cox at that time only the left side of ballroom bidding, the right side just stoned/eat/drink/ignore.

Then, to try to squeeze out every cent that the guests can give to charity, they first have a metal box for people to put money in. No cash? No problem, we have the machine to let you swipe your credit card. *big wide smile*
No card? Have phone right? Singtel offered them 2 LINES for use that night ONLY for 2 diff things. One for research and another for support of cancer patients' families. Each call is $100 plus 20cents admin charge.

Epic way to squeeze money out man.

Work made me realise how cui my body is. Gotta train! Now aches all over. zz

Saturday was going Army Open House with siblings. It wasn't the plan though. I was suppose to go for some photography competition and I CLEAN FORGOTTEN about it!! So sorry Vivyan!! DDD:
So went AOH... Queued at the queue for combat something ride for an hour plus, then got to ride a bronco. Dust everywhere.. hoho.. Got to fire 2 rounds of SAR-21, and deafened my ears in the process. As if my right ear ain't damaged enough, now my left ear is getting ringing sounds too. DDD:

Went to some aircon part of the area and explore.. Wanted to get into leopard tank but couldn't do so thanks to father wanting us to go back. zz Gotta go back some other time.

I better survive tuesday and wednesday.

Ciao, for now.

Disco Rice Ball Blah

Today work at 5.30pm..

Girls were suay today as HR peeps came down to correct their grooming..

Tonight was some Disco Rice Ball. Many people wore retro outfits and some random clothes. I saw a person wearing a disco ball as a mask.. D: Some mediacorp artistes are there too.. I saw that Mo Xiao Ling.. She wearing pink wig and some random stuffs that made her look more ridiculous.. D:

Anyway, heard Andrea de Crux was there. President's wife was there too.. Was looking forward to the show but during stoppage, was pulled to narumi store to clear up while other guys are slacking in silver store while girls are outside to watch the show... -.-"

Then was clearing up etc.. Enjoying the music at the same time! woooots! Then at midnight, gals can go home, guys stay till one except for a few. I'm not the lucky ones..

So stayed and cleared up some tables then the chill room.. Which was damn messy.. Then was finally go home time! Changed out, went canteen to chill out awhile before taking the minibus home.. 2nd last to reach home..

Hope tmr can do something with my day, like find my headphones lol...

F1 Pics! and work..

I'm seriously smiling as I type out this post.

The pictures have been emailed to me! YAY! Only thing I am not satisfied with is the uber low resolution of the pics... 80-90kb wad kind of quality sia.. D:

Our group shot. [l-r from front] Mingyu, Xinkai, forgot-his-name-but-he-is-coffee-boy, Lian Yin, Tammi, Yan Bin, Yan Mei, Jolene, Lay Sing, Elda, Cherie, Anand, Puvana, Me and Yongfa.

Accidental shot I guess, while we're preparing for fun shot..

xDD  ok the front 2 guys can be censored on request.. xp

Oya, during working that time found out that forgot-his-name-but-he-is-coffee-boy and Lay Sing are from the same sec sch as me... lol.. They're one year older than me la.. But I didn't see them around lol...

Anyways, Today worked at ballroom. Finally the roads are opened, as usual walked at the back of the ballroom and sneaked a peek at what I'm gonna see later. Its super high class. With glass dangling from above and some chandeliers here and there. The whole sides of the ballroom are replaced with some roman building style decor, made of styrofoam as I realised later.

My group has 4 tables which makes a line instead of the usual cluster kind of arrangement, which I at first thought would be a troublesome part.. Seems that it isn't..

Got to know more people today as some newcomers too etc.. Thanks to Andrew, our captain, that our operation was smooth throughout. We have to serve the guests at each table at the same time, which means we must be synchronised.. So we line up and pickup our food like primary school kids, only this time to serve people..

It is a magazine called Prestige that is holding its eighth anniversary ball. Which is effectively a D&D. The dance part did not see many people dancing. Actually at its climax only 8 people were dancing..

The start of the ball had this violin ensemble of like 10 musicians with different sizes of "violin" which is like violin, cello, viola etc... Then theres this performance by this woman who pulls herself up a very long length of cloth to a height and do stunts.. Then is singing by a guy whose singing is very good! I enjoyed it too... lol Even though I'm serving the guests, my ears are still open, so the music was a relieve to the small stress..

All in all, today was quite slack in work as we all split our work. But of course not as efficient as during F1!

I wonder when we will have a meeting up session... Better sooner than later! xD

Memorable F1, in more ways than ONE.

Worked at Paddock Club from 26th to 28th September 2008. Worked in the Suite called "ForceIndia" -.-  If you notice, their logo has F and I in bold, when put together, FI machiam F1... lol  Oya, uber wordy post ahead.. Pics will be in as soon as HR email me the pics they promised me.. xD

Friday

On the bus to Jurong East, saw Yingying get on the bus but she din notice me so I texted her. Then we texted until she got off the bus.. It was her physics paper that day.. I wonder how she fared.. Went to Ritz to gather and so meet Alvin on the train, he got in at Dover and me, Jurong East la.. xD   Stood all the way there and walked to Ritz. At the security post I see the longest queue at the security post I had ever seen.. Ownage, like 30 people waiting to go in, the security people had their hands full and we're standing outside frustrated... D:

Finally got in and got our uniforms from the ballroom, its a shirt. So we thought we had to tuck in and we look like school boys! omg... Its ridiculously hilarious! xD Saw the houseman Leilei wearing it tucked in too and laughed out loud literally man! xD But was told later to tuck out, so tuck out lo... But look abit like after school tuck out uniform for some of us...

We gathered at ballroom, where I saw many many TRM peeps.. Then Amos came in and slowly organised us into our respective groups.. I already knew my group had no TRM peeps prior to this, but still damn sad cox they all at 3rd floor except for some… We then walked all the way to Paddock Club, which is rather near to the Flyer.. The building is very long as it houses the pit stops too.. The suite I am working in is on the 2nd level.. The pantry, is really, damn small... =.= 1 and a half of our chill room de size only..  Have to be shared with 3 suites, culinary dept and stewarding dept... D:

The suite was like wow when we got in, but the other suites are much more elaborate in decor etc as the company we serving is a new company.. The Honda suite beside us, for example, has a race simulator machine, which is machiam arcade i think... Then the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes suite is like WOW! Totally posh..

Anyways, cleared some stuffs in our suite like the buffet line and polished the utensils, which are brand new. So fingerprints are VERY visible.. It is from this company wmf, and Alvin and I were talking about him working at wmf prior to F1.. Such a coincidence! xD

We then had briefing by our manager Anand. He briefed us on what we had to do and allocate our jobs ecetera.. Some of our staff then went for lunch while we continue clearing up.. Then, because the arrival tea starts at 1430hrs, the 4 of us who were the 2nd batch to eat ate in the pantry at around 1400hrs, standing up.. After that, we stand-by at our tables and walked around and talked abit and listened to those techno indian and english music and waited for guests to come in.. Our 1st ray of hope AKA guest came in, and went out 5 secs later.... Cox he was looking for his wife... D:

This is one of the most memorable [in a bad way] de music I listened there. They played it from an iPod docked and I have no idea how many songs they had, but they kept repeating after some time, one English song I remember is called Serious.

Ω ψ • Get up • ψ Ω - Ω ψ • Badmarsh & Shri • ψ Ω

Tea ended at 4pm and there was no guests! xD We must be the one and only suite w/o any guests for any of the meal slots! xD  We then cleared the buffet line and prepared for dinner.. Dinner at Paddock Club ain't total buffet, it is actually half buffet. Cox the appetiser and dessert are plated and served to the guests while the main course are on the buffet... The food were tempting as always, well my stomach is always hungry…

Dinner was alright, the climax was only 20 guests, which is 20% capacity, our suite has 100 seats.. The tray with a very noobish traymat from sgp is not good quality luh.. Was holding a glass of the welcome cocktail - cranberry mixed with vodka - on the tray and waiting for my glass of red wine when the glass tipped and fell on me.. D:   Heng it was on me, if not I gone.. half of my white shirt is pink... Was ordered to stay at the back area.. Then there were some extra shirts brought from RC cox the other suite had a spillage too.. So changed and continue service.. But after that din dare to take the tray with that kind of traymats... Used bare hands to serve guests, cox our suite small enough to allow this.. xD

The practice session of the F1 is quite nice, but the noise gets annoying after awhile.. Luckily Paddocl Club quite soundproof, the glass blocked quite some volume of the F1 cars zooming by... Then I was told to be ice-cream boy - to carry a tray of  ice cream around and offer it to guests.. One girl "attack" the guests by giving them cold towel upon arrival.. Then another to attack with wine and water… We had to do this cox they pay 7.5k per pax for 3 days.. The kids too… D:

But all in all, we were very efficient! :D

Our dinner was downstairs at some tentage canteen, and we found out that there were 3 hotels serving there, Ritz Carlton, Hilton, and Marriot. Marriot gave the lowest pay: $6. RC de normal pay already $6.50 lo… RC and Hilton gave the same amts: $10.50.

The practice race was quite nice, but according to some info from Anand, the ForceIndia had never completed a race before, so if they do complete a race, champagne would be popping.. D:   Ok, it is good for them but not for us.. xD

We’re like very eager to serve, too eager I would say. One staff finish serving towel, another one serve water/sparkling water. Then another one serve the welcome drink. Another would ask for wine/champagne. The guest kena own, our manager facepalm.  He later told us to be proactive is good, but there is this thing called too much of a good thing.. xD As there are LCD tvs everywhere around the room, one at the buffet line de top also.. I was walking and smashed my head with the side of the LCD tv twice… =.=” The service ambassador we got was not very proactive, she was at best talking to a guest for I don’t know how long and that was when she was most useful… D:

Supper went by and we cleared up and did lots of unique stunts [in reference to GTA] and thou shalt not know.. xD Actually it is my 1st time having Haagen Dazs ice cream and I devoured all 4 flavours available there.. xD Then was all the food lo…

Helped the other suites to clear up and we went back to hotel to change etc, and waited for the bus… Then HR ppl say we have to walk all the way to Suntec Convention Centre to wait for bus, thanks to last minute changes to road closure from the Government.  The bus driver damn stupid, damn 不自量力, go take people from marina bay westwards to Boon Lay, and also people from Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Marsiling and Woodlands… Somemore, he doesn’t know his way around Singapore, most of the homes he drove us to had to have to person to direct… Theres like 20+ peeps to send home, I reached home at 3.30am, slept at 4am.. Those people from Woodlands, I asked the next day, reached home at 6am, and they start work at 10am for some.. Sad…

Saturday

Started work at 10am, changed and rotted in the ballroom until we were led to Paddock Club.. Reached and briefing and started to clean up and make the buffet line perfect. This time, the guests arrived super early, like at 2pm, even though the buffet line opens at 2.30pm.. Our service ambassador changed to a guy, who was MORE slack than the woman, he just stand around look look, walk walk, and tell us what not to do when we do something wrong ACCIDENTALLY… I thought nobody was collecting the used towels from the guests and took out the tray only to see another girl got it already, when I was about to put back, he said “We don’t need 2 trays to collect the wet towels.” I replied “I know” And just put back the tray.. He just did nothing lo.. At least I was trying to help… I heard that other suites de ambassadors helped out to clear stuffs etc…

Anyways, there were much more guests today, but with our almost perfect coordination, the guests were very happy with our service, as there were feedback from guests to our higher ups that we provided excellent service, which I’m sure makes all of us happy, even though no one showed that on their faces.. xD

Dinner had some famous model from India and also a famous Indian actor, which of  course we didn’t know until Anand told us.. Anand ar, want to serve the model luh.. xD Saw some of the guests taking pic of the model lol.. We were the only room with no spillage that night too! Work was getting more fun than stress from the 2nd day.. The qualifying rounds that night also had us glued to the screens and watch…..  the Force India driver went to ram the fencing on like the 1st or 2nd lap.. D:

We of course did provide excellent service while watching the race la! Haha, we’re multi taskers! Anyway, theres this Chinese guy who was with his son, he has a damn pro DSLR camera, kept taking pics.. Then after awhile, saw the guy whip out a camera for his son, who is like at most 4 years old, and the camera is just one notch lower than the one I’m sharing with Gary! D: It is a Lumix camera, but with 12x zoom, ours is 18x.. Damn sad… The kid take pics like some pro too, must have learnt it from his father.. But haha, got to use some compact cameras to help the guests take pics.. Got this guest, dunno how to on flash in own camera.. *facepalm* I on the flash and took a pic for his friends and him..

Unique stunts galore! Lol We had lots of food and I had the welcome drink! 4 mouthfuls was shiok enough.. xD

Cleared and refreshed the whole room, then went back ritz and walked to Suntec to take bus.. This time, it is not at convention centre, instead, it is some ulu place where the back has a big MANGO indicating that’s where the store is located I guess…

Jurong East Estate does not classify Teban as under it, it doesn’t even cover West Coast, which is where Alvin stays.. But that is the piece of paper we wrote on cox theres no nearer places! D<  We then rotted till we got into some bus which got us to many places like Balestier, Little India, and then I fell asleep, then West Coast, and finally Teban..

Sunday

Reached home at 4.30am, slept at 5am.. Only to wake up at 8.37am for my work which start at 9am.. D: Set 5 alarms and I miraculously go off all 5.. Tiredness killing me.. Reach Ritz at like 10am and then repeated the loop which is to wait for a leader to bring us to Paddock Club.. Saw the flyer peeps like finally, cox our working times were mostly not the same.. So saw many TRM peeps.. xD Reached and Perfected our  buffet line and then was getting abit too drowsy for work. Then took a cold towel and wiped my face, immediate effect sio, mind woke up and continue work as if I had a good night’s rest.. xD

Afternoon tea was alright as there wasn’t that many guests, maybe due to the crash of their cars and they start at 19th and 20th in the start line.. We served some guests, and there were 3 races prior to F1 race. There was the Aston Martin race, which if I’m not wrong, one Singaporean driver got third as I saw the flag raise up above the podium.. Next is the Formula BMW race, and then a Porsche race..

There was almost full house for dinner today, was very busy and the guests seem tired and didn’t drink a lot of wine and ate a lot of ice cream.. Luckily when the actual F1 race started, all went to the balcony there to watch and we got some respite.. We saw from the TV the cars starting, then peeped out of the glass to see them zooming past us.. Damn nice! Fisichella was 3rd at one point of the race, which made the guests nervous as in whether they could get a chance in the podium. Nervous for us cox if it does, we'll have our hands full of champagne.. But the pit stop brought him down, it took 15.1 secs for everything to complete for them... There is also this incident involving the Ferrari's Massa and his runaway fuel pipe.. Then some crashes here and there.. Those are the real drama of the race man! xD

Service abit messy maybe due to unprecedented number of people appearing according to Anand… But we still made it, and hope we get some guest appraisal ba.. haha, yea I hope..

Today used GTASA to do ultimate impossible unique stunts.. xD Tried Red, White and Kingfisher and had lots of food. :D

The HR peeps came, armed with digital cameras, they wanted to take pics of some of us. But I requested that they take a pic of our group shot, which they did! xD Shall get the pics from them next time I work! xD

Pic which Xinkai help us take of some of us. [l-r] Yongfa, Jolene, LianYin, Yanmei, Yanbin and me. Anand, our manager is standing. xD

Our Force India suite was cleared after awhile, then went to other suite to clear up, very very messy lo over the other sides, so disorganized… Maybe its because of the staff or what but yea, not my suite I don’t know what’s the situation so shall not say anymore… Then was gathering at one of the suites, the guy we kena ar, slacker. Tell us wad to do and go disappear.. Some of the old birds were drinking Old Ginger Ale lo.. One of them, a guy, was totally flushed.. Crazy..

One of the suites has SGP paper bags on the sofa. Inside one of the bag had a triangle number tag supposed to be put on tables, inside is a bottle of vodka. We all were”WTF, STEAL?!” Below it is an unopened box with a bottle of JOHNNY WALKER BLACK LABEL! WTFWTFWTF.. I wonder what happened to it.. But our plan was to dispose of it by giving it to the bartender or just show it to manager, but then was called to do other stuffs so didn’t know what happened to it..  Poured those unwanted but still can be used milk, all 84 litres or 7 boxes of them, into the sink.. Cox higher ups lazy to carry back so waste lo… D: If the milk from China I understand..  But not wad… Then this manager go and ask to gather everybody. He in a foul mood, so his words made our mood fouler… D: He just can’t wait.. And he act cheem, and for those who doesn’t know what LPD means [I think you all know la] it means Local Police Department.. After all was gathered, was getting the cloths back to Ritz and walked all the way back as usual..

Changed, went to get vouchers and cert, yes we get a cert for our services for these 3 days.. The bus wait was alright, as usual, Teban not under Jurong East, so we waited for some time and then got into this bus where all our homes were ulu ulu kind one, nobody heard of those roads kind one.. xD Reached home last at 4.38am and slept at around 5.15am Woke up at 1pm…

Strange, how come I didn't take as many pics as Edison did? D: Peeps go his blog to see the pics he took, some are quite nice! xD

Worked from 0830-0200, then reached home at 0330, slept at 0400, woke at 0750 and start work at 1000-0200 then reached home at 0430, slept at 0500, woke at 0837 and start work at 1000-0300 and reached home at 0438.. Wow.. So dead.. But earned around $543 during these 3 days… :D + those $ I earned last Wednesday and the 40+ bucks I’m gonna earn tomorrow, I’m gonna get at least $600+ in my bank acc this Saturday! Yay!

Then next mon-wed is TRM camp, then fri our OG gonna be staying at Sentosa de hotel suite for one night! xD

This is the most exciting, wonderful, fantastic, [insert adjective that describe good stuffs] and memorable work time I ever had. Good work-rest balance too.. xD

Many Thanks to: Anand, Yew Boon, Yongfa, Xinkai, Mingyu, the coffee boy [sorry I forgot your name D:], Yanmei, Yanbin, Jolene, Lay Sing, Lian Yin, Elda, Puvana,  Tammi and Cherie.

And the times we had together working, [not forgetting the zoom of F1 cars which will stay for some time] will be forever etched in my memory! xDDD

ForceIndia [staff] RULES! xD

Update! lol

Finally can update my blog.. ARGH RAN OUT OF TITLES TO PUT! lol

Tuesday had this ballroom event by this TCC. No, not The Coffee Connoisseur, but Turkish Cultural Centre. lol   Anyways, it was a totally halal buffet, a first for me. Had quite a number of staff under me, some of which are new, i think 3 out of 6 of us are new... lol  During the briefing, the manager was saying "Last time I had so many new comers also no spillage that night, so I don't want ANY spillage at all tonight. You all have to use tray as it is a VIP event, but new comers put at most 2 glasses on your tray. If 2 glasses cannot, put one glass. And if you can spill with one glass of drink, I really got nothing to say." *raises up other hand* "God gave you 2 hands for something. Hold the glass la!" At that precise moment, purely out of coincidence, the AV personnel on the 2nd level is testing the muslim prayers video for them to break fast, but since it was a testing, there's no sound. BUT, there are SUBTITLES. And it says "God is Great"

Sorry if I had offended in anyway, but it was seriously hilarious at that point, all of us burst out laughing, even some malays amongst us also laughed.. xD

The buffet dinner was rather slack, cox there's no alcoholic drinks available for obvious reasons. So we just had soft drinks to ask, and to do clearing up.

Was told I had to do OT. Kena forced kind cox not enough seniors, so ask those senior but not so senior staff like me... -.-" Latest time of booking out OT for me: 3am. It was setting up of the next day's event, didn't know what it was at first, but know that it is super high class as table cloth, chair cover are all black. With a red cloth on each table. Later I knew why, the company involved is Ferrari, which main colour is red.  Its a product launch, and the AV personnel making the um, supports for the lights etc, took a long time as it was quite complicated. Usually only one lenght of the ballroom is used. This time its a huge square.

Then the car involved was arriving, so we had to roll out the carpet, literally, for it to ride slowly into the ballroom without any mud or whatsoever. In the end, the carpet provided by the contractor are not wide enough and the tyres still kena the grass patch. But it was cool though, to see a expensive car driven slowly, looking at its interior etc.. But Ferrari is BAD, in reasons more than one.

Anyways, the set up outside and inside the ballroom used alot of boards and wood stuff, and lots of glue were involved. It was so strong at one point of time that everywhere in the 1st floor had glue smell. The workers just cut a silt on one huge can of glue, and just pour out the glue on the wood. I wonder how they tahan... Glue leh... D:

Reached home at 4am in a taxi.. Bathed then slept. [thats why I didn't update yesterday...] Woke up at like 8+am and prepared for work.......

Wednesday worked at 11am was super tired and while walking at Marina Square towards Ritz, walked and slept at the same time.. [Is it sleepwalk? xp] And knocked into a guy the moment I opened my eyes, brain was not working + inertia and rammed into the guy.. Apologised profusely and quickly went out of sight.. Reached and went to the multi purpose room on the 3rd floor to prepare for some lunch and forum thing by a travel magazine. It is a western set lunch, without the soup. So theres only appetiser, main course and dessert.  RCMS de GM is one of the guests, but whom didn't turn up for reasons unknown to me, but who cares? lol

The presentation and statistics presented were rather related to the tourism stuff I had learnt, so also listened to some of the presentation while keeping a lookout for needs of any guest...
Was quite happy and relaxed working for some reasons... :D

Anyways, when everything ended and then 8/10 staff had to be called down to the ballroom as there were last minute changes to the setting in the ballroom.. Sad.. Very troublesome... But I'm not one of the 8, lol..

Cleared the room slowly as there only 2 of us, a captain and a houseman. Then cleared extensions, one of the extensions, cox I didn't grip properly, dropped and smashed on my right foot. Worse, it bounced and smashed it again as if in a encore.

Very painful, but no visible swelling or blood clotting till now, which is like 12 hours already..

Either way, rubbed it for awhile before continue to clear the other extensions, then tables, then some chairs.. Afterwhich, we put some new settings like some slim tables etc for the next event at the rooms and soon it was 5pm. Changed into another uniform, which is also black, for the Ferrari event at the ballroom.. Since I perspired while doing those manual work, this uniform, which is like not so absorbent, immediately stuck on my skin. Feel even stickier...

Went to canteen and saw many TR03 peeps, Lilin and Marcus. They had came back from OC and slacking in canteen to get some rest as they had knocked off already. I asked Marcus "How did it feel to do set up on the rooftop at noon?" xp    Cox last night I heard some of the seniors saying they next day had to do set up in singapore flyer de rooftop at noon... sad...
Marcus gave me a very tired face.

Then he said he kena posted to TR03 as he missed the 1st timeslot.. I wonder got who will come to TR01.... D:

Asked Lilin more about our chalet etc.. 6pm then I went to ballroom.. Inside, was all glam etc..
Went into the briefing halfway through.. Then did alot of stuffs like preparing set up for our side station etc..

Event started and guests seated. My group has 3 guys, which one is new, plus 4 gals which 3 are new... D: Luckily later one more gal was added to our group who had qute substantial experience working.. So was rather relieved... lol... Its a western set again.. There were like appetiser, soup, fish, sorbet and main. Dessert buffet style...

Was pickup and clearing all the time.. In out wait in out wait in out.... time flies...xD

Soon midnight reached and went home! Finally have one rest day... but have to buy shoes etc.. -.-

But at least its a day gained.. :)

Polishing glasses... C-RAA-CKKK

Today started work at 9am. Like nobody around lol.. Total no. of banquet ppl today is 24, according to the namelist.

Office there de namelist indicates that I and 3 other guys are under stewarding.
Yes. Stewarding.
I was like "AR?! Do what?!"  Then a plain answer: polish glasses.
I then was "ok....."

Then saw the 8 trolleys with at least 7 racks of glasses each. 4 trolleys with racks of 16. The other 4 are racks of 25. Woah thats like alot of glasses! Sat in the ballroom and polished till noon, then lunched and then continue to polish till 6pm before we had dinner and polished till 8pm, then knocked off.. Bored work, but pay good. xD

Its amazing how the glass can withstand some knocks against the table without a scratch, yet can crack into pieces with us wiping the inside of the glass with a napkin...

Was playful for a moment and took one high ball glass, which has a very thick glass at the bottom, and one bucket of ice water, tried to crack it by heating it in the boiling water and immediately put in the ice water.. Its either the glass is not "cooked" long enough, or it is of high quality that nothing happened...

Its totally rotting at work. At first, this slack-work is quite erm, attractive. But anything, in big amounts, is bad. So it was getting annoying that the glasses seem to be getting more and more dirtier, that is, the dishwashers did not wash them properly so we have to polish more thoroughly... -.-

Everything must be in moderation.

On the way to Cityhall MRT, saw Sinyi and friends, we like met on the escalator at Suntec but in opposite directions lol... Talked for that few seconds and went our separate ways.. Anyways, took train back to jurong east cos i wanna buy Spore: Galactic Edition. The sim-everything, which is actually what the developers want to name it but stuck with the working name, spore, so as not to mix with the huge franchise Sims and also to maybe create a new legacy?

Tried the demo so was hooked so bought the game.

Sounds impulsive? Actually, YES.

I think I'm too impulsive for my own good sometimes. Should I say what I said last night? I am still in a whirl... This do first regret later mindset must go away... Goawaygoawaygoaway..... *chants*

Zombie cosplay and stupid assumptions.

Today wake up at like 6+am, but i slept at 4+am, which made me freaking tired.. Washed up and walked to take bus 97.. Reached there unexpectedly early, like 8am.. But I start work at 9am.. -.-

So rotted in the canteen until around 9am then proceeded to ballroom. Thanks to the already set tables from the night before, and somemore have same pax, we din need to take extensions etc.. So took the table settings and set the tables.. Some florist were outside ballroom using a significant amount of space to make the flower arrangements for the event. The flowers itself are damn nice so I reckon they are quite rich.

Seeing the cooks making small coconuts and putting soup inside, I thought "woah they must be damn rich to provide individual portions of soup, in a coconut!"

Anyways, was damn tired while working, like half dozing off half walking, like zombie etc... The "wake-up point" was when I was setting the table standing up, my body, mind, brain went SHUT DOWN. So I was like tilting to my left, guided by gravity, onto some chairs and my hands knocked on some show plates, luckily din knock them off.. The noise jolted me awake immediately and the auntie near me chuckled "Woke up already?" in mandarin.

I was 101% wide awake. Like so embarrassed.. Yea, but I brought it upon myself.. By sleeping late..

Anyways, set up was ok, then went to have lunch and came back to continue set up before we went to do other stuffs, I was with another guy to make the setting of the reception area.. Set up and slacked awhile before having dinner..

The wedding dinner had rich food. Like the cold dish already has chicken, duck and pork, plus some prawn roll i think. The coconut soup smells marvellous, but I can only see, can't taste.. ):
That Mr. S today damn kaobei again.. Its like the first column de name is the leader ma, so I was like looking for the other guy as our names were like [hisname/myname] Then that Mr. S came, looking very irritated or something, pointed at me, "He is the leader, NOT you." Of course I know cox that guy's name is the first first one ma.. -.-"

That Mr. S also damn biased according to some accounts from colleagues...

After that, we cleared most stuffs and midnight struck, gals were told to go first, guys who were not OT were told to get one extension each, put it in the store and we can say byebye, idea thanks to leilei... Anyways, went chiong for extension, its like one of the easiest extensions I've ever carried thanks to the carrot dangling and says "HOME"

Cleared and chionged to change, drink water, and take bus home..

West today has many people. So was split into 2 buses. Xuanyi, who was working, lives at Pandan Gardens, which is like a stone's throw away from Teban Gardens. So I thought I was to board the same bus as her. At ECP, the driver ask who is the Teban one who is supposed to take the other bus. My heart sank.... -______________________________________-|||

WHY MUST I ASSUME?!                          *^%#%^$%&*^(^%*~#%+)(&^$#@!~!@$

ASSUMING IS BAAAAAD. MUST REMEMBER! *slaps self*

But logically speaking, Pandan and Teban should be tied together as they are close to each other, and when I mean close, it is very close. Sianded during the ride, except for some parts, which the violent driver maneuvered corners and etc like a racer and went over humps like it was a normal road. Xuanyi was like screaming at each bump and corner... Now I know what they meant when they said Xuanyi screamed like mad in some HK rollercoaster...

Some people who worked today: Oliver, who 1st day tio OC liao, so lucky, I never OC before lo...   Seetoh and Daohui, all from TR03. Then theres WeeTeng, Xuanyi, Ulrig, AoXiang, Rebecca, and some people whose names I've forgotten.. Sorry

That goodbye wave is like so, so, so.. Indescribable, yet so like heartache... Or am I (mis)interpreting too much... I hope what I think is what it is trying to convey... AHHHHHHH mind in a whirl...

Work and Ramblings.

Today started work at 5.30pm.. Reached at like 4pm and rotted in the locker room until 4.30pm when the canteen opens.. Waited half an hour before we can take food.. Saw Wenbin, who is here for her first day. Showed her to office to get her badge then I went ballroom..

Tonight was a wedding. Was team leader again, with a new comer guy and 2 experienced ladies. Luckily it was chinese set. Unluckily, I have 2 tables which have 8 and 2 vegetarians respectively. So picked up quite alot. 4th course had stoppage so stand around looking at video.
The slideshow, which shows in pictures what happened from the morning, has very very nice pictures, but of course since they are taken by professional photographers.. The couple and their parents came into the ballroom, proceeded to the dance floor to dance a short while before proceeding with 3 speeches..

The next 4 courses were okok.. Then was clearing up. that guy, I shall call him Mr. S, is such an ass. I was not slacking and he told me to go over and say "Next time I see you slacking, I will tell the manager, not that I want to ban you or something."  Yea right, your between the lines is read by me already can. I think I pia finish F1 and will not show up again. No wonder WeiZhong said he don't want to go back to see those faces of those people. Now I understand.

SIAN LA! He told me go over as I was holding some napkins. I was passed by the new comer guy, he don't know where to put the napkins. I was trying to guide him. Then labeled "slacking". Am I wrong as team leader to guide a new comer? He said I need to prioritise what is important first, glasses or napkin. His kind of attitude, I had had enough. Just listen, act guai cox his kind of attitude won't take in any reason as it will be labeled "excuse".

When I was pia-ing he also can't see, then just stand down there do nothing, very hardworking la. #&^%*^$#%@$%#^&$*

Some update.. (:

Yo peeps! lol

Some days of emptiness as you can see,so I shall update! :D

Wednesday went to Dhoby Ghaut with Gary cox he had an interview at Park Mall at a modeling agency.. I rotted at a food outlet reading Life which is talking about ABBA, yay! lol ABBA is nice music you know...  The food there was okok..

He finally came at 45min later.. Gave him directions, and voila, he's here! He had his lunch while I continue reading my papers.. Went to Paradiz Centre LAN again, to play TD elements.. Quite nice except the last part.. D:
Samtaro came soon after and we had CS, at a map called HDB.. Its at Chua Chu Kang ave something block 472. If I remember correctly... Then we played Battlefield, the online server was down, so we played with bots.. D: The bots are stupid.. Very.. -.-"

Later went LJS to eat then we went home..

Reached home and used com till like 2am in the morning.. Before sleeping did some crunches and woke up at 5.30am with the aid of an alarm clock but felt uber refreshed.. Dunno if it is really refreshed or something.. Cox I remember dreaming or something and I threw my pillow like for dunno what.. lol

Went ShengShiong to stock up on food which I would eat on the journey to work, and walked all the way to the bus stop to take bus 97.. After the zebra crossing, was about 50m of sprinting as the bus was coming... Heng I got into the bus..

The upper deck of the bus is full of RV students, each taking the window seats, there were no window seats because of them.. D: lol So I din eat and read newspapers until they got off.. Then had bread.. Reached the bus stop and walked in..

Started at 8am and 1st hour was damn slack as I had nothing to do.. Just stand-by.. Then was asked to get fish-bowl but got to the wrong store.. D: Then was told to stand-by at the lifts to guide guests to their respective meeting rooms.. Daniel came at 9am and stand-by at another meeting room.. Then went to get some monkey cage with Daniel and got 5300 napkins to send to laundry.. It filled up one and a half of the biggest monkey cages..
Had lunch and then went to get some cartons of drinks for the chill rooms.. Then we got some dry stuffs and sauces for F1. One batch, for Singapore Flyer, is put into a monkey cage and cling-wrapped, the other one for Paddock Club, is put into chill room and cling-wrapped.

Cleared some of the rooms etcetcetc and yadda yadda yadda [lazy to elaborate] and knocked off at midnight.. And by the way, lost my already spoilt badge so lost $6 of income.. T.T
My $104 became $98.... Sian..

At least work was not so stress... But will chiong work from saturday to wednesday, then will be F1... Woots!

Work and Weddings..

Random blog post title again.. lol

Pic above is the sticker we need to paste.. Green one is security by the police.. Pink A is mean I serving VIP... D:

Worked yesterday at Banquet from 10am.. 1st was to do saigang.. To clear the remnants of the breakfast buffet.. Then helped to set up some tables.. Then was the coffee break session of UBS.. They then had a meeting in the ballroom afterwhich, we pulled in tables from the outside which we prepared earlier and set it at the grand gallery... They were served lunch there..

Then was saigang all the way till evening.. Cox we had to change the setting of the ballroom from meeting to dinner.. Chinese set dinner.. The out-sourced decorations are dam chio and must be dam expensive.. It is like wine glass shape, only much, much bigger.. Theres glass balls inside and branches which are painted white + flowers are inserted and put onto each table.. Theres near 60 tables...

There are 9 VIP tables... I din know how big the event is until I saw police.. D:
Went to eat, which saw Wax, Tzehow, Xuanyi, Cabrina, Purdey, Chiayin, Gladys and some other people whom I know..  After dinner, went to ballroom to continue the setup... Seems that they last minute change the setting of the glasses.. Very troublesome... Dam tiring..

After setting up, Wax told me I'm under VIP, he said "there's many VIP groups like V1, V2 etc.. You're under VIP."   I was like "OMGOMGOMG"  Saw and verified.. Im under VIP, which is the host table.. 1st time kena VIP jiu kena the main table.. Somemore the other 8 VIP tables are surrounding the main VIP.. SM Goh was there, Mr. Mah Bow Tan was there, Mr. George Yeo was there, DPM Wong Kan Seng was there.. Saw Mr. Tan Cheng Bock at one of the normal tables too... When Ayer Rajah was SMC it was great luh...

The 1st course is Roast Suckling Pig.. Khor dam joker: "All the pig go in 1st, are you pig? No, then don't go in. Eh pig go in faster!"

2nd course is individual portions of SHARK'S FIN SOUP.. Long time nv see shark's fin, mostly fish maw etc.. Shark's Fin soup is like VERY VERY BIG PORTIONS of SHARK FIN.. OMG..
According to manager, each bowl costs a staggering $300 each.. 500+ guests sio..

3rd course some veg+sliced abalone+sea cucumber..

4th course fish..

5th course roast chicken..

6th course INDIVIDUAL rice wrapped in lotus leaf [or some other plant leaf i forgot..] Must be very expensive as individual requires more work for Chefs..

7th course, dessert, has a very nice name: Double-Boiled Sweet Soup With Four Treasures.
Layman's term: Cheng Tng.  *Facepalm*

then was clearing up and knocked off at 12 midnight.. West has too many ppl and so theres 2 buses.. D: Sian............

Reached home, bathed, read saturday's straits times, and used com until 6 in the morning then sleepp.... D:

Work and Random..

As you can tell, I've run out of post titles.. D:

Today went to work at 11+.. Reached Ritz at 12.38pm and rushed to change and have lunch.. Expected to work at M-floor and I did... Was abit sian cox like no one to talk to except for a few.. Set up one of the rooms for the higher-ups in Ritz to use later for meeting..

There was setting up for food tasting in the evening, which is like the families of both families in a wedding come to try out the food that will be served to them and the guests on the day.. There were 3 kinds of settings and different kinds of cloths/organza and different kinds of napkin folds.. Looking at some of the new kinds sort of tempted me to want to learn how to fold them.. xD

After which, some people from M9 downstairs came up.. Woots saw Hongjie and Kira. Finally got people to talk to lol...  Went to help out in the room which will be hosting the food tasting session and asked Tun Lynn how long he worked non-stop, as in w/o off days.. He said "28." I was like :What The?!"  Then he said he had not went home for 5 days straight, as in he stayed "in-house", which is an option if you knocked off at midnight and 6am you have to start work.. Or something similar.. I was even more "WHAT THE?!" lol.. They very pia lor... Luckily after today he'll have 3 days of off..

After steaming some of the chairs, was told to go to one of the meeting rooms to help clear up.. Then we arranged it into meeting style, 7 seats to a table, 6 tables in all.. We were told that this meeting tomorrow is VVIP, as all the um, directors and the higher-ups of the Ritz Carton branches in almost all the Asia Pacific region will gather there to meet.. Saw the same motto, credo etc stuff that we had on the day of the training.. Seems like propaganda on a higher note will happen tomorrow.. lol

Had to change all the chairs.. We needed 40 and 20 passed, the metal colour had to be gold, unlike some which is grey. They must not shake, not even slightly, they must not have tapes at the back.. Took pains to find the 20 "missing" chairs.. Found them and stacked them and moved them and arranged them..

When Hongjie, Kira and me brought up the buffet tables, I don't know, I just feel like deja vu again.. Shit.. Sometimes what happens in my dreams months back just happens months later.. And that moment my mind will flashback.. Feels strange but good.. Well, sometimes..

Was instructe dto go and find some buffet tables.. After which, we had to find glass which we could not find.. Actually we did not find hard enough as we forgot that one of the stores had lots of organzas, cloths, chair covers, cloths, and cloths in monkey cages, racks and trolleys.. The glass was inside... -.-"  After bringing the glass up, we chose the best and most presentable ones to put on the buffet table.. Luckily there wasn't alot of people and we used the guest lift =x..

Then we had to make one of the store, called the uncle store, neat and tidy.. It looked like a mess, but 6 of us and an hour later, all the cloths were folded nicely and shelfed up, it looked so much presentable and spacious.. Then the outside corridor had to be arranged neatly, so we had to arrange the chairs in stacks of 8, and the tables had to look nice.. I think it is for show to the VVIPs tomorrow, if they do actually.. I won't know as I'm not working tomorrow! xD

Looking forward to TR01's chalet! YAY!!

And found this on Yaowei's blog which referred to Glenn's blog:

1) Guys may be flirting around all day, but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about....
2) Guys are more emotional than you think, if they loved you at one point, it'll take them a lot longer then you think to let you go, and it hurts every second that they try.
3) Guys go crazy over a girl's smile(:
4) A guy who likes you wants to be the only guy you talk to.
5) Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know what?..uh...nevermind.." would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking. And he'll assume he did something wrong and he'll obsess about it trying to figure it out.
6) If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don't need to give advice.
7) A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.
8) GUYS LOVE YOU MORE THEN YOU LOVE THEM!!!
9) Guys use words like hot or cute to describe girls. They rarely use beautiful or gorgeous. If a guy uses that, he loves you or likes you a whole heck of a lot.
10)If the guy does something stupid in front of the girl, he will think about it for the next couple days or until the next time he spends time with the girl.
11)If a guy looks unusually calm and laid back, he's probably faking it and he is really thinking about something
12) When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl, he really is
Guys rarely say that
13)When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he's just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me
14)If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him. It doesn't happen that often, so when it does, you know something's up.
15) When a guy looks at you for longer than a second, he's definitely thinking something.
16) Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions and are MAD confusing but somehow are drawn even more to them
17)A guy would give the world to be able to read a girl's mind for a day.
18)No guy can handle all his problems on his own.
He's just too stubborn to admit it
19)NOT ALL GUYS ARE RUDE!!!
Just because ONE is RUDE doesnt mean he represents ALL of them
20)WHEN A GUY SACRIFICES HIS SLEEP AND HEALTH JUST TO TALK TO YOU, HE REALLY LIKES YOU AND WANTS TO BE WITH YOU AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
21)Even if you dump a guy months ago and he loved you he probably still does and if he had one wish it would be you to come back into his life

Haha, would like to hear views from both guys and gals.. As I think its rather accurate.. xD

And for that email.. PS for being so bad.. D:

"No Question Is Stupid"

Today went for the F1 training at 12.30pm, reached at like 11.45am, can't go in yet so I waited for Alvin at the bus stop and looked for Leanne afterwards.. We then went in and waited outside the HR office. Then this woman called ShuShu, a muslim as she said, but dunno wad race, told [actually shout is the right word.. xp] us to keep quiet and we proceeded to Millenia 3, one of the meeting rooms.. Had a boring lecture, then she had us ask questions if any cox she said that " No question is stupid."  At first it sounded alright.. But if you change the tone of speaking it a little, the whole meaning changes!

Like "No. Question. Is. Stupid." Means no question is stupid la...
Then another one is "No question. Is. Stupid." Which sounds more like if you don't have any questions, it is stupid... Well, its just my opinion and this results from days of working... D:

Anyways, some questions are seriously common sense.. Like this one: "What do we do when we're tipped?"
Well, since it isn't stupid, I can't use stupid the word.. But all I wanna say is " KEEP LA!" Well, unless you wanna share your tips, everyone would gladly want to have a share..

After that, Amos took over.. Joker ar him.. Say alot of stuff that can actually be learnt by just working a few days in banquet and yadda yadda... Then had a mini buffet thingy, which is actually spring rolls and some thing which I don't know its name, and coffee and selection tea.. Got kamomile and ate quite a few servings as I did not had lunch.. After which, we were shown a demo by Amos himself what to do what not to do etc..

Then went to check our faces with our IC number, supposedly for the staff passes during the F1 period, and I rushed off to change and have dinner, saw Chi Lung and friends there.. Dinner was simple, some veg and egg and rice as I had not much time till 1730 hours..

Saw Sinyi and her bunned up hair.. haha, all the girls look so different after bunning up their hair lols..

Went down and saw Yumi, she told me my event tomorrow at 8am is cancelled, so I do not have to report for work.. I was like mouth agape.. Cox potential money to be earned gone.. T.T

So went for the briefing in a sian mood... Then when checking namelist to see which group I belong to, read the 1st column and there's no my name! YES IM NOT A LEADER... Heng.. Cox I 1st time since 4 months come back do Chinese Dinner set..  Checked the other columns and then thought to myself: "Eh, how come my name not up there? D:"  Checked with John and he put me under Tun Lynn..  Haha, heng.. Tun Lynn very reliable one.. He damn steady.. And Xian Shi in my group also... Found out our group has 4 vegetarians on one of the table, so Tun Lynn's agenda was to for him and me go pickup the normal food, and Xian Shi take care of vegetarians all the way..

After about 45 min after the ballroom doors opened, my 4 tables were barely 50% filled.. Somemore they are situated almost beside the VIP tables, which should make them close relatives of the families... But in the end, only about 75% of the seats that we're in charge of were filled.. I went for the "fanfare", which is the um, walk-in of the 1st dish.. When the doors were opened, the whole ballroom was dark except for the light lighting up the red carpet we're walking on...

The food tonight was quite typical though, save for the soup, which is fish maw and chicken in superior soup or something like that.. Most guests did not touch it, for reasons which I do not know of..

But one which stood out [in my opinion] is the one which has chicken, mushroom, veggies and sea cucumber in some heavy sauce.. But smells heavenly.. Fish on the other hand, smells heavenly to me as I love fish! xDD

Then there was stoppage of service, which in that period a photo slideshow of the morning's events were shown on two big screens.. The photographs were very well taken, expected from a professional photographer ma... Then there was the editing of the photos.. The Kens Burns Effect if I remember correctly, was very well utilised [cox professional ma..] Seriously nice photos...

Was telling Xian SHi we can'y clap even though its rather um..touching? xD
Then when they popped the champagne, I don't know why, maybe my reflexes? Both my hands swung up and clapped once before my rational mind took over.. lol...

The fried rice had yam, I can smell it! Anyways, as usual, nobody touched the fried rice as they're mostly full... The glutinous rice ball dessert, for the 1st time had to put 2 balls into a bowl.. Normally it is one..

Seems like if I'm super hungry, everything smells great... xD

Yumi later told me that because of someone who could not make it on monday, she ask me to replace him lo...

Then was called by this guy to stack chairs... The chairs in the store were stacked yes.. But not high enough, only 8-9 per stack... We then had to move chairs and kept the chais at heights of 14-15 chairs... After stacking like until the 6th stack felt droplets dripping onto my clothes.. Then found out this chair stacking thing is machiam gym, can exercise... Did countless repetitions and in general, exercised...

Shiok sia.. Got to exercise..

Minivan-ed home and at the lifr lobby, saw some people come out of the lift.. Thought to myself during the lift ride: " Scarly this lift gt problem.. Aiya won't de la...]  At the 9th floor, the lify doors opened, an inch... I was like I DUN WANNA BE STUCK HERE! Pressed bell a few times, and after some bashing of the lift, it finally worked and broght me to 5th floor.. Climbed for the rest...
