チェンギ・ザ・ワールド

(Spoilers Ahead)

Went to WestMall to watch L - Change The WorLd. Got there 5min before the show starts.. The auntie behind the counter was taking her own sweet time giving me the tickets when i was like, quick, quick! Ryuk in the poster (below) is misleading lo... He just made a cameo appearance before the deathnotes are burnt to ashes.

Was impressed by Kenichi Matsuyama's (松山ケンイチ) acting as L. Got to run hunchbacked.. And the straightening of his back also quite funny. Too bad this time his brain wasn't put to full use.. It's now become an action movie rather than a battle of wits (which L excels in). He’s going to die in a few days, but how can he be so serious about saving the world! He’s pretty weird and random like he always is too. The movie has little to do with Death Note, but you see L, who lost Watari and everything, struggling to save the world, as a normal human being. Mayuko Fukuda (福田麻由子) acting as the daughter of a professor who developed the antidote of the lethal virus. Her acting was great, for somebody who is 13 going on 14, and she started acting when she was just 10... Wah, parents must be happy sia...

Another funny part of this movie is the actors. The action that the psycho terrrorists take are pretty crazy, especially this one chick. It’s like Kira all over again. Then a FBI agent come into play, but it destroys the serious atmosphere as he (being used by L twice as decoy) has funny expressions lo...

Like this poster

But like this more.
Finally, the last words of L summed up the movie and the series, “No matter how gifted you are, you can’t change the world by yourself.”
